Annual Meeting: Saturday July 11th @ 8:30AM **VETERANS PARK**
Family, Friends, and Visitors of Lake Koronis, we welcome you to participate in and watch the 4th of July Boat Parade! We will all congregate at 1:30 pm at the Assembly Grounds, and the parade will officially start around 2:00 pm (when the last of the boats have been registered).
Participants, dress your boat up as best you can for a chance at the grand prize of $250! 2nd place will receive $100. 3rd place will receive $75. All boat participants will receive a $10 voucher for Shady's 55 (limit: one per boat).
Note: In order to qualify for the participation and podium awards, you MUST start at Assembly Grounds and follow the lead boat around the entire lake. One of the KLA directors will lead the parade, so keep an eye out! Please check back here for any updates. Judges are scattered around the entire lake, and they will be judging based on your boat and crew!
We love our boat parade on Lake Koronis, but we know Minnesota weather doesn’t always cooperate. Here’s how we’ll keep everyone in the loop on Friday:
✅ Weather Update Time: At 12 PM on Friday, we’ll post here to confirm whether the event is still on for that time.
🌦️ If It’s Clear: We’ll see you as planned!
🌧️ If It Looks Like Solid Rain: We may delay the parade until after the rain has passed to keep everyone safe and spare you a soggy adventure.
🌤️ If We Postpone: The show will move to Saturday afternoon instead.
Your safety is always our top priority, and we appreciate everyone’s flexibility. Keep an eye right here for updates, and cross your fingers for good weather!
You can pre-register here. Otherwise, please meet at the Assembly Grounds at 1:30 PM, and look for the lead KLA boat. There will be a jetski moving between the boats with a packet if you did not pre-register. Inside the packet will be the official rules and your gift certificate for participating. Judges will use your submitted photo to identify your decked-out boat versus a number this year followed by a finish-line photo to be eligible for the 3 large prizes.
Once you are all set with your registration or met with the coordinating jetski, please line up behind the lead boat. The lead boat will have KLA banners along the side, but if you cannot find them, flag down the jetski you registered with and ask them.
To collect votes in a timely manner and get the winners out to you ASAP, Lake Association pre-selects judges all around the lake. These judges cannot be participants in the parade and are ensured to have no conflict of interest.
There is one official rule and one unofficial. In order to be eligible for winning, you must register your boat and follow the entire parade route around the entire lake. If you do not finish the route, you may be disqualified as you will not be considered by all of the judges around the lake. In order to improve your chances, have fun! Show up ready to celebrate summer, the lake, and all of the things that make our home wonderful.
All participants must register their boat and name with KLA at time of event. All participants are encouraged to arrive promptly at 1:30 for a timely parade start, and late arrivals are not assured eligibility for prizes.
